Rebbetzin Alta Faige Teitelbaum (1912-2001) was the second wife of the powerful and saintly Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum (1887-1979). After her husband's death, her status became distinct as she developed her own group of followers (“Bnei Yoel”) who were in opposition to her husband's successor, the second Rebbe of Satmar, Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum (1914-2006).
